5 star rating system vs. 10

halfshadows 18 years, 10 months ago at Jul 1 21:53 -
I read somewhere in these threads several posts suggesting the 5-star rating system vs. the 10 star system and I just wanted to add my agreement. 10 stars is too many choices and most of us are used to the five star system in use elsewhere at sites such as Amazon, Netflix, etc.

I agree! I'm used to using 5 stars everywhere else.

I think to settle this, in the 'Edit Profile' we can have a rating preference, 10-star or 5-star.

cuz I like the 10-star

I like 3 1/2 stars. :)

And if I'm rating women, it's ALWAYS 1-10 scale.

** Have you peeps out there rated yourselves, btw? **

How about a 0.0-10.0 scale, but stars are available to give a 1-5 or 1-10 rating? That way, those of us who would like to give a super-fine rating (like 5.8 or 9.1) could do so, but those who want to give a more basic rating could also do what they want?

I was thinking of this recently because of a few movies that I thought were better than the general rating, but not quite as good as the next full rating up...
