well this is my fave rave/trance compilation ever made, but its hard to find in stores (easy on p2p sites).
Ministry of Sound also makes great House compilations, especially most of their Ministry of House volumes. And their Ministry of Sound: Annual compilations are top notch the best dance floor hits (more pop and mainstream) of each year. I haven't heard the new Annual 2008, but Annual 2004 and Annual 2006 were pretty good.
Also, for some awesome beats, look for the Live Radio1 sets, typically 2hrs long sets recorded from clubs in UK and around world. One really nice one is Fatboy Slim's Radio1 set. I'll check my mp3 collection at home and recommend a few more good albums/sets.
