Drive or Hugo. So far nothing else comes close as far as I'm concerned.

As far as superhero movies go, Thor and X-Men: First Class are the winners. And Hugo was great as a love-letter to cinema.

And Hugo was great as a love-letter to cinema.

Sure was!

As far as superhero movies go, Thor and X-Men: First Class are the winners.

If the entire X-Men movie was as good as its first 10 minutes my vote might be different. But as it stands I'd take Thor any day :)

There is already another thread about the same subject but well...

My favorite is 'The Tree of life'

By the way, when you say 'we have some great movies like harry potter, pirate of carribean, transformer etc', I can live with HP but I hope you are kidding with pirates of the carribean and transformers...

Kill List really blew me away. I have never seen anything like it.
Apart from that Drive is definitely up there!

I haven't seen a lot of films this year, but of the ones I saw I'd go with Hugo.

Drive and We need to talk about kevin
and Take Shelter
CalmOcean 12 years, 4 months ago at Jan 27 20:32 -
War Horse, but I have quite a few still to see. I doubt that will change though. I'd say second best for me was either Take Shelter or Source Code.

The Artist...paid homage to so many films, beautifully filmed, and perfectly acted. Just a brilliant piece of cinema!!!
