"1 new message" won't go away

I permanently have the "1 new message" notification showing because I deleted a spam message without viewing it first. If a message is deleted without being viewed, the unread count should decremented.

I had this too - the "1 new message" notification stuck around for almost a week. However I had read the message before I deleted it.

Now it is gone. Odd.

I have fixed this now
