A "Mature" filter on Images that are not porn but are not really suitable for work or children either. E.g. www.listal.com/viewimage/5730774 (IMHO)

I absolutely agree with this one. Many of the mainstream models often have photoshoots/images that are NSFW and these are currently being deleted. Filtering with a tag would be a better option, IMHO.

Also need to make the mature tag visible on profiles, lists & images. I cannot tell this right now, so when I add a person of their image that's marked as mature, my list is being tagged as mature and I don't find out until I go see the list settings page. I'd rather like to be able to decide upfront if I want to add a mature image/profile to my list.

A mature image filter would simply provide further excuse for people to post any old crap. While the suggestion is well intended, if you give people an inch then they'll take a yard.

Let's be fair, the current filter isn't really enforced. I reported a list when I first started on Listal, a list that involves some very mature content. The list still exists and appears on the front page from time to time, yet my filter is on.

I reported some of the images instead, and they were removed.

I still believe that the list should be NSFW, but that's not my decision.

I'm not advocating removing the mods discretion on what to remove.
Instead I'm advocating allowing for the possibility that:
(a) some mature profiles do have taseful non-mature images
(b) some mainstream profiles do have some mature images that are tasteful, but are currently removed due to the "We only have a hammer, so everything is a nail" option. Ex: Some of the PETA ads, some European ads/photoshoots etc.

OK, I'll stop my advocacy with that comment.

That would make it far too confusing to moderate images.
