Description: Tim Cahill, born December 6, 1979, in Sydney, New South Wales, is an Australian football (soccer) player who plays for Everton and the Australian national football team. Cahill was born to a Samoan mother and a British father of Irish descent and was encouraged to play football as a child. When he turned 18, Cahill asked his parents to allow him to travel to England to play professionally, where he was signed by Millwall on a free transfer from Sydney United.
