Early life
Tamta was born and raised in Georgia, where she started singing at the age of five.[2] For six years she was the lead singer in kids’ bands, while taking piano lessons for seven years and studying Georgian ballet for another four.
She has been awarded in a series of children’s singing festivals in Georgia, while performing in the leading roles as an actress in music theaters between the age of twelve and fourteen.

When Tamta was 22, she and her family relocated to Greece, where she decided to enter the singing competition Super Idol, a reality television show produced and presented by Mega Channel and based on the British show Pop Idol. She managed to take second place in the finals, winning the audience’s attention and support. That was the starting point in her publicity.
Later in the same year, she released the single "Eisai To Allo Mou Miso" along Stavros Konstantinou through Minos EMI, which became a radio hit.
For the 2004–2005 winter season, she was the support act for George Dalaras and Antonis Remos at Athens Arena, while in the summer of 2005 she performed alongside Thanos Petrelis, Katerina Stanisi and Apostolia Zoi at Apollon.
In the summer of 2006, Tamta performed alongside Peggy Zina at Politeia Studio in Thessaloniki, while making a great performance in Sakis Rouvas' live concert.
For the 2006–2007 winter season, Tamta performed at VOX in Athens and continued at Fix Live in Thessaloniki.
In the meantime, Audiovisual selected Tamta to be the leading voice in the translated version of Luc Besson’s children movie Arthur and the Minimois.
In January 2007, Hellenic Radio and Television (ERT), announced Tamta's participation in national final to be the Greek representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. She placed third of the three participants, and Sarbel went to the Contest. Shortly after, she released her debut CD titled Tamta. The first single off of the CD was a cover of Gala's song "Faraway" titled "Ftais". It was followed by the single "Den Telionei Etsi I Agapi". The CD was then re-released with a bonus duet of the hit song "Tornero" which represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
Her latest album, Agapise Me, was released on May 16, 2007 and the first single is "Agapise Me" (Love me). More recently, she released a CD single titled "Mia Stigmi Esi Ki Ego/Ela Sto Rhythmo".The cd include a remix of RBD Wanna PlayTamta was make RBD famous in Greece from her singles Pame Parea Rebelde and Agapw Wanna Play.Later on 2008 the RBD's album Rebel's was bestselling cd of the month March.It includes the Greek version a duet with Tamta
In June 2008, Tamta said in an interview that she would like to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.[3] Rumors also said that CYBC had been in contact with her since May. Greek media outlets also demanded that ERT choose Tamta to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 following suspicions of favoritism from Eastern Bloc countries in 2008 where Kalomoira finished in 3rd place.[1] The rumors did not materialize and ERT chose Sakis Rouvas for the 2009 Contest.
In early 2009, Tamta released the ballad "Koita Me" to radios as the first single from her upcoming album, which was released in March 2010. A music video was created and is directed by Konstantinos Rigos.[4] Three tracks of the upcoming album were produced with the help of students in the music department of the University of Westminster in London; they were chosen from a pool of 50 songs. Stereo Mike, who is a professor at the University, also had a role in the production of the album.[5] For the winter 2009-10 season Tamta is performing with Sakis Rouvas at The S Club.[6] She also released a new dance single called "Tharros I Alitheia" featuring Sakis Rouvas.[7] ...
