Tad Mosel was an American playwright, screenwriter, actor and one of the leading dramatists of hour-long teleplay genre for live television during the 1950s. He received the 1961 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play "All the Way Home". He is also known for adapting the screenplay of "Up the Down Staircase" (1967). Mosel also served as a weather observer in the South Pacific with the United States Army Air Corps' Weather Service from 1943โ1946 during World War II, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
