Steven Swadling was born on May 7, 1969, in Shoreham-By-Sea, England, to Christine Elizabeth (Parmiter) and Michael Barry Swadling, an electrician and has one older sibling.
Heavily influenced by Richard Burton, he was steadfast to pursue an acting career at a very early age and joined the Connaught theatre group in 1983. He visited Orange County just outside of LA in 1985 to study martial arts for 6 weeks then returned to England with a plan. In 1987 that plan came to fruition and Steven returned to the US and earned his Black Belt in Karate. He trained hard and learned fight coordination as a segway into film. He studied at

He studied at the Van Mar Academy of Motion picture and has also studied at Sanford Meisner's PlayhouseWest, founded by Robert Carnegie and Jeff Goldblum.
Steven had taken an extended hiatus from the acting world to raise and focus on his family and also build a foundation for his businesses. Steven's entrepreneurial abilities has helped him form a full-service advertising agency, a children's book publishing company, a film production company, "Room In The Sky Films" and was also a producer in a joint venture with Headmon Entertainment & Productions and is now producing with Our House Films [us]. Steven is also partners of two sports bar restaurants, On The Rocks Bar & Grill.
After establishing his place back in the industry, Steven was able to focus fully on his career as an actor, with the astonishing result of four feature films within 6 months. On the big Hollywood blockbuster side, Steven fought his way to a role in the remake of the 1989 classic, Kickboxer. The new film, Kickboxer: Vengeance, starring former world champion Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) and world renowned, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Gina Carano and UFC world champion George St. Pierre.
When asked about how he keeps his acting chops sharp, Steven mentions his past studies of Stanislavski and Meisner Techniques along with many real life experiences. As one might expect, Steven Swadling's personal adaptation of these techniques has created that most unique item in Hollywood--the real thing. In this case, an action star who can act, and an actor who is a for-real action star."
Upcoming film projects as an actor and producer, include; "Kickboxer Retaliation," part two of a Trilogy in the Kickboxer franchise. A remake of the 1949 Faulkner classic, "Intruder in the Dust," comedy, "High Finance", written by Harris Goldberg and Tom Nursall, a comedy, "Filthy Rich" with Mena Suvari, "Way of the Warriors", a sports inspirational film. Steven is also producing and co-writing, "Shadow Unit," and "Gathering", a joint venture with Lee Caplin of Picture Entertainment and Our House Films.
