Steve Shagan

Steve Shagan was an American novelist, screenwriter, and television and film producer. He wrote the original screenplay of the 1973 film "Save the Tiger" starring Jack Lemmon which he published as a novel a year prior to the film's release. He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the film. Shagan also served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
