Having studied with many Toronto instructors, and the famous New York teacher, Uta Hagen early in her career, she discovered there was not enough accessible and challenging character and truthful work in the Toronto scene, so she founded her own theatre company in Niagara. Stephanie Jones is the Artistic Director Emeritus of The Essential Collective Theatre, a theatre company known for it's exceptional new Canadian theatre. She is also a playwright and an acting teacher. Working both in Manhattan and Canada Stephanie is the first female Meisner Acting Instructor at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre.
