Simona Branchetti (Meldola, 15 August 1976) is an Italian journalist.
She graduated in Law from the University of Bologna with a thesis on civil procedure. In 2002, she collaborated with the daily newspaper La Voce di Forlì and other local newspapers in Emilia-Romagna, obtaining her professional journalism certificate in 2005.
Alongside her work in journalism, she has appeared on several entertainment programmes on Odeon TV, Happy Channel and TMC. In October 2002, she joined Stream TV, working on the editorial team of the in-depth programme (Focus) Agrinews and the news programme StreamNews.

Alongside her work in journalism, she has appeared on several entertainment programmes on Odeon TV, Happy Channel and TMC. In October 2002, she joined Stream TV, working on the editorial team of the in-depth programme (Focus) Agrinews and the news programme StreamNews.
From 2003 to 2007, she worked for Sky TG24, where she co-hosted the afternoon news program with Marco Congiu and presented the weather program Bel tempo si spera, which she also wrote.
In October 2007, she was hired by the Rome editorial team of TG5, broadcast on Canale 5. She started as a presenter on the morning edition and, since 2008, has presented the 1:00 p.m. edition, first alongside journalist Giuseppe Brindisi and then alone since 2009. In the editorial office, she covers news and topics related to wellness, medicine, and health.
In 2020, she published her first book, Donne è arrivato lo smart working (Women, Smart Working Has Arrived), published by Edizioni Leima.
From July 26, 2021, to September 22, 2023, she hosted the morning program Morning News on Canale 5, a spin-off of Mattino Cinque. From December 20, 2021, to January 14, 2022, she hosted the program Pomeriggio Cinque News on Canale 5, a spin-off of Pomeriggio Cinque.
In 2022, to celebrate TG5's 30th anniversary, she was interviewed alongside her colleagues Roberta Floris and Susanna Galeazzi on the program Verissimo, broadcast on Canale 5 and hosted by Silvia Toffanin. On October 9, 2022, she was the victim of the program Scherzi a parte, hosted by Enrico Papi. In October 2022, she received the Italian TV Awards prize during the Rome Film Festival. In January 2023, at the Campidoglio in Rome, she won the ‘Antenna d'oro per la Tivvù’ (Golden Antenna for Television) award.
From June 17 to August 30, 2024, she returned to host the program Pomeriggio Cinque News on Canale 5, a spin-off of Pomeriggio Cinque. On October 25, 2024, she replaced Myrta Merlino as host of Pomeriggio Cinque.
From 2008 to 2013, she was married to television and radio presenter Federico Quaranta. In 2016, she began dating lawyer Carlo Longari, whom she married the following year, before separating in 2021.
