Sheyla's father died when she was young and her mother could have barely taken care of her and the family. Sheyla's childhood and teenage life was filled with depression and dreams of being like her idol Dolly Parton.
Early in her 20's, Sheyla received breast implants as a gift from her boyfriend, which improved her self-esteem. Sheyla traveled around the world and began a career. Because of plastic surgery, Sheyla was able to make money by being a celebrity. Since 2006, Sheyla was covered by Brazilian tabloids.

In early 2007, Sheyla enlarged her breasts to a FFF cup and was making plans to break the world record. Her story was made public around the world. Sheyla announced that she would get bigger implants, however laws in the United States prohibited her from doing that. Despite being warned by doctors, Sheyla enlarged her breasts to a KKK cup in August 2008. Sheyla was crowned the holder of the largest breast implants in Latin America and Brazil. In the fall of 2008, Sheyla had another surgry which took her breasts to a MMM cup. However in November, Sheyla had a breast reduction surgery, because she became pregnant. During her pregnancy, Sheyla announced she would go back to a MMM cup in 2010.
Today, Sheyla is a big sensation in her homecountry of Brazil, where hundreds of fans show up for her when she's in public. Sheyla spends time living in Houston, Texas and Vila Velha, Brazil.
