Scott Cawthon

Scott Braden Cawthon (born 1978) is an American animator, author, producer, video game developer, voice actor, and writer. He rose to prominence for creating the indie survival horror game Five Nights at Freddy's, which was released in 2014 to widespread acclaim. The success of the title spawned the media franchise of the same name, which has obtained a cult following. Cawthon announced his retirement from game development on June 16, 2021.
