Savannah made West End headlines when she played the iconic role of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, with no rehearsal. Savannah made West End headlines when she played the iconic role of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, directed by Sir Trevor Nunn, with no rehearsal. She was word perfect however and played to standing ovations and rave reviews for her following performances.
Since that time Savannah has gone on to play leading roles both on stage and screen, including creating the role of Cinderella in the world premiere of Simply Cinderella opening Leicester's new £60million Curve Theatre. She played Kate Croy in the play The Wings of the Dove opposite Susannah York and seasons at The West Yorkshire Playhouse and The Royal and Derngate Theatres. Recently she was chosen after worldwide auditions to play Mary, Mother of Jesus in new film version of The New Testament for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, which was filmed on location in the USA.
She was in the Original Cast of Mary Poppins at The Prince Edward Theatre directed by Sir Richard Eyre and has recently worked with Sir Trevor Nunn again on The Menier Chocolate Factory's major revival of Aspects of Love by Andrew Lloyd-Webber. Guest roles in episodes of television dramas include Casualty, Playing The Field and Peak Practice. She has also been in television commercials for T Mobile, Ask.com and Western Spirit.
Savannah can be heard on the original cast recordings for Mary Poppins (Disney/Cameron Macintosh) and the concept album for Love Never Dies the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd-Webber.
