Life
Sandra Speichert was born in Basel to German parents from Lörrach and grew up in the Netherlands , Belgium , and France . She lived in France from the age of five. In addition to German , French , and English, she also speaks Spanish , Flemish , and Swiss German . Speichert has a brother and was managed by her mother, Birgit Speichert-Röhm († 2014).

Speichert took ballet lessons until she was 16. She graduated from the Saint-Germain-en-Laye International High School in 1988. From 1990 to 1992, she took acting classes at the Cours Florent in Paris and performed in productions including La traviata , Carmen , and Boléro . Since the late 1980s, she regularly performed on the stage in the Marais district, where she lived.

After her television debut in 1994 in the French television series Extrême Limite (German title: The Daredevils ), she landed her first leading role in a feature film: French director Claude Zidi selected her from among 300 applicants for the film Profil Bas (German title: Double Camouflage ). That same year, she received France's most prestigious award for young actors, the Romy Schneider Award .

In Germany, Speichert played in Vivian Naefe 's Zaubergirl in 1995. This was followed by an appearance in Im Hof der Großen . In 1995 she played in Niki Stein 's Still Movin' .
