Ryan is a Canadian-born writer/director who recently sold his genre-bending thriller "Cul-de-Sac" to Sony. His frequent collaborator Jon M. Chu ("Crazy Rich Asians") is producing, Ben Briand is attached to direct and the project is now casting.
He is developing a project in the vein of "Pirates of the Caribbean" for producer David Hoberman, which got both Matt Shakman ("Wandavision") and Joachim Rønning ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales") attached in the pitch stage.
Ryan is also rewriting a crime drama for Gary Levinsohn's H2L Media, two original fantasy
