“Rositsa was one of the most beautiful young women I met in Bulgaria. I kept telling her she was too beautiful to be a waitress, but she always was so pleasant, efficient, and would just smile when I would tell her she ought to be in Hollywood. It was not until a few years later that I learned she became Miss Bulgaria. I do not know where she would have received the money necessary for the evening gowns, etc. So she must have found a wealthy sponsor.”
