Rodney Harvey

Remembered for his portrayal of Sodapop Curtis in the 1990 Fox network series The Outsiders, as well as for his roles in the Drew Barrymore feature Guncrazy (1992) and the Tim Robbins and Jodie Foster film Five Corners (1987), he is also notable for his work as a model. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he later relocated to Los Angeles, California. Tragically, he died of a drug overdose at the age of thirty. After his death, photos of him in the depths of heroin addiction appeared in an Office of Drug Control Policy (Partnership for a Drug-Free America) public service announcement.
