Description: Her unusual middle name "Victory in Europe" is a reference to the formal surrender of Germany in World War II, which took place on the day she was born. Daughter of Martin and Anne Strasser. Her parents divorced when she was a baby. She began acting at the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan, and later trained at Yale School of Drama. She is a founding member of the American Conservatory Theatre, and began her extensive daytime career in 1967.
