Robert Manzon was a skilled French racing driver born in Marseille on April 12, 1917. He began his career as a mechanic before transitioning to racing after World War II, initially driving a Cisitalia D46. His early performances caught the attention of Amédée Gordini, leading to a long association with the Gordini team. Manzon made his Formula One debut at the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix and went on to compete in 29 World Championship Grands Prix through 1956. Though his machinery was often underpowered and unreliable, he managed two podium finishes and scored 16 championship points, driving for Gordini, Ferrari, and Louis Rosier�
