After leaving Menudo RoBA went to college in Puerto Rico to study Advertising. In 1994 well known tropical music producer and business executive, Ralph Mercado, signed RoBA to record a Salsa album under the RMM label. The album Sentir, produced by master Isidro Infante, had great success in several Latin American countries, and most of all in New York and his native island of Puerto Rico. Having interpreted such genre expanded his musical knowledge and gave him the opportunity to share the stage with legends such as Tito Puente and Celia Cruz among others.
Throughout his career RoBA has become extremely active in the acting world as well. He's become a well known soap opera actor working for networks such as Univision, Telemundo and Venevision Productions. RoBA has also been in several theatrical plays such as Descarados (Full Monty), Cuatro XXXX and Quien Mato a Hector Lavoe, where he played the salsa legend's father, a detective and chorus singer.
In 2009 RoBA released his first album under the Latin Pop Rock genre. The album, titled Jet Privado, was entirely written and co-produced by RoBA in conjunction with Grammy winning producer Andres Saavedra and producer/ writer Frank Santofimio. The album was launched digitally in over 500 online stores worldwide and was single of the week on iTunes Latino in 2009.
RoBA continues to work on promoting his album throughout Latin America as well as writing new music and experimenting with new rhythms. Also remaining active with his acting career, RoBA wishes to broaden his horizons and further develop his talent within the industry of film and Broadway Musicals.
