The Welrod was a British integrally suppressed bolt action pistol. It was produced by the Birmingham Small Arms Company. It is famous for being very quiet. Welrod pistols have grip safeties, and their magazines are used as pistol grips.
The Mark II (not Mark I) was the earliest version. It was created in 1943. It uses the 0.32 in ACP cartridge and has a detachable magazine of 8 cartridges.
The Mark II A is a Mark II with a shorter front sight, a different trigger shape, a different cutout around the ejection port, and different ways to mount the trigger assembly and the sound suppressor.
The Mark I was the latest version from 1944. It uses the 9×19 mm Parabellum cartridge and has a detachable magazine of 6 cartridges.
