Triple Action Thunder
The Triple Action Thunder is a breech-loading, single shot prototype pistol from the USA. It was designed by Janos Lakatos of Triple Action LLC from Logan, Utah, and introduced at the SHOT Show in 2004. This pistol is chambered in the 0.50 in BMG cartridge, has a breech lock with a revolving cam end plate, a muzzle brake, and a hydraulic recoil reduction system called the "Nitrogen Recoil Controller".
The mass of the unloaded pistol is 12 lb (5.443 kg).
The length is 16.9 in (429.26 mm).
The barrel length is 13.2 in (335.28 mm).
The trigger pull force is custom set by a manufacturer from 1 to 12 lbf (4.448 to 53.378 newtons). The term "trigger pull weight" is incorrect. Weight is a measure of the force on the object caused by a gravitational field.
