Savassi
Savassi is an upscale neighborhood located in the South-Central Zone of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. It is known for its large number of bars and thriving commercial sector, being one of the most prestigious areas of the Minas Gerais capital. In early 2006, before the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) meeting, the city government divided the Funcionários neighborhood, creating the Savassi and Boa Viagem neighborhoods. The area to the northeast continued to be called Funcionários.
