Boy grew up in Schwedt where he went to school to study banking -- the career he originally wanted to pursue but gave it up to focus exclusively on the gymnastics.
Boy began his career at age 16, led by his trainer Manfred Paschke. He earned his first medal -- a gold -- in the 2003 German Junior Championships. He repeated this feat two years later.
His greatest success was winning the gold medal in the team final at the European Championships 2010 in Birmingham and the 4th Place finish in the team final at the Summer Olympics in Beij
