Perry Smith

Perry Smith was one of two ex-convicts, along with Richard Hickock, who murdered four members of the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas, United States on November 15, 1959, a crime made infamous by Truman Capote in his 1966 non-fiction novel "In Cold Blood" which was later adapted into the 1967 Oscar-nominated film of the same name, with Robert Blake playing Smith and Scott Wilson playing Hickock. Perry Smith also served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
