Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón (born 29 February 1972) is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). A city councillor for Madrid between 2004 and 2009 and a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies for Madrid, he was elected Secretary-General of his party after the first primary elections held by the PSOE in its history;[2] he was confirmed as such in the Extraordinary Federal Congress.
