An acclaimed singer for over 40 years, Annabelle rose to fame during the 1980s Golden Era of Cantopop. Initially discovered by talent scout through a singing competition, her first duet, โ Ren Zai Lu Tu Sa Lei Shiโ (Journey of Tears) with Michael Kwan, became a huge hit. She signed with Polygram Records in 1981 and released her first album โJiu Meng Bu Shun Jiโ, (Faded Dreams). Her debut album remained at the top of the Billboard Charts for a record 9 weeks, and established her as a new teen idol. Her signature hits remained beloved by fans and fellow singers today.
