Nigel Mansell, born on August 8, 1953, in Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, is one of Britain’s most iconic racing drivers. Known for his aggressive driving style and relentless determination, Mansell carved out a remarkable career in Formula One spanning from 1980 to 1995. After early success in karting and Formula Ford—where he won the British championship in 1977 despite a broken neck—he debuted in F1 with Lotus in 1980. His breakthrough came with Williams, where he secured his first Grand Prix win in 1985 and eventually clinched the World Drivers’ Championship in 1992.
