She is a graduate of Dubai Women’s College and Ryerson University in Canada, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. Nayla is the founder and managing director of D-SEVEN Motion Pictures, a Dubai-based production company, which produces commercial material and has plans for independent documentaries and feature films. Her film Unveiling Dubai marked Nayla as the UAE’s first national woman independent filmmaker, premiering at the first annual Dubai International Film Festival. She followed up Unveiling Dubai with a short film, Arabana.
