Formed in Hobart, Tasmania in 1999, Psycroptic wrote intensively for the months following their formation, crafting material for debut album 'The Isle of Disenchantment' (2001). For the second album 'The Scepter of the Ancients' (2002) a suitable agreement was reached with US label Unique Leader. Extensive touring around Australia was undertaken. New material began to shape in 2004, tours commenced in Australia with Deeds Of Flesh and Hate Eternal on separate occasions as well as a 23 date European tour with Dismember. Unexpectedly original vocalist Matthew chose not to tour. Jason Peppiatt rose to the task, perfecting 8 songs in a short amount of time proving he was a talented and dedicated musician.
