Description: Even with a smidgen of the cheesy synth and meandering guitar work that characterised a good portion of 1970s progressive rock, Goblin's score for Dario Argento's 1976 horror feast Suspiria has remained fresh and focused over the years. In fact, a few of the tracks seem to borrow more from the experimental streak of the old Krautrock band Can than from the vaults of Yes and Genesis. For example, the defining characteristic of "Witch" is a rampant, percussive sheet-metal throb that is undercut with throaty screams and a horn's shrill cry.
