Simon Breed has played under his own name around the UK and Europe for the best part of a decade, having supported the likes of Nick Cave and the Magic Numbers. The Smitten King Laments contains eleven of Simon's finest songs yet; concise, sometimes perverse, always haunting; fingerpicked tunes augmented by glockenspiel, harmonium and loops.
