Remixed is, frankly, a bit of a surprise. In theory, the songs of Talk Talk would seem a promising arena for remixers to practice their art in. Even the fairly straightforward pop recorded by Talk Talk in the early 1980s, when they were being packaged as kindred spirits of Duran Duran, carried a discernible undertow of the avant-garde; much of their later output was downright weird. As is usually the case with remix albums, the result here falls a long way short of the promise.
