Given that Cooler Kids are the brainchild of a previously underground Brooklynite, DJ Kazimir, and Luscious Jackson bassist Jill Cuniff, you might expect them to be arty in a Williamsburg loft sort of way. Instead, the Kids’ retro sound is intended for 24-hour-party people who live to dance, little sister, dance. The beats are borrowed from '70s disco and '80s techno; the message is never deeper than the song titles themselves: "Viva La Fever," "Hook Up," and "E is for Everybody."
