Still primarily known in the U.S. for the slow-burning groove track "Days Gone By," Dirty Vegas aren't interested in making people dance on One. Programmed beats and driving keyboards have been ditched entirely. In their place, the DV trio indulges their instrumental id, trotting out guitars, pop song structure, and deadly earnest New Wavy rock. It's a bold move, and while they occasionally pull off decent melodies (the chorus in "Roses" for instance), they're not playing to their strengths.
