As Moving shows, Wesseltoft is definitely on to something. These days, there's a lot of mixing dance and ambient beats with a vaguely jazz-like conception, and most of it, especially the music coming out of UK clubs, has little more musical substance than the beat and a few drones and samples. Wesseltoft, however, is a good musician and the possessor of a fine ear. He can mix'n'match and then add some scintillating keyboard patterns and lines on top, not just for spice.
