Hooray For Earth formed in Boston, MA in 2005, self-releasing an album in 2006. When band leader Noel Heroux moved to New York City, the band found themselves splitting residence between the two cities, building upon their existing fan base in Boston, but also started to gain recognition in the New York City/Brooklyn scene. Hooray For Earth has played with Deer Tick, Depreciation Guild, Holy Fuck, Mission Of Burma, Oh No Ono, Passion Pit and Shilpa Ray and Her Happy Hookers.
