Description:
Rather than rush releasing their self-titled debut Modjo to cash in on the single's preliminary success with an album full of "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" clones, the duo have instead opted to experiment with more diverse musical styles. The tracks still retain a hint of that trademark Modjo sound, some more than others (such as "Rollercoaster" and "On Fire") but overall they veer successfully away from just being French house anthems. "Peace of Mind" and "What I Mean" are successful forays into pop r'n'b, while album opener "Acknowledgement" is a Pet-Shop-Boys-style synth
