Fans of Type O Negative, Mercyful Fate, and even Manowar will probably appreciate Like Gods of the Sun by goth-core metal purveyor My Dying Bride. Refusing to be held back by stylistic restraints, the band have crafted a symphonic opus that rattles with hammering beats, roaring guitars, woebegone vocals, and weeping violins.
