Life Goes On continues the musical legacy started on Sash's 1997 debut album It's My Life. Again there are the same catchy house melodies and chords, but on this album Herr Lappessen places greater emphasis on vocal arrangements, and the whole thing has a slightly darker edge. The Euro-pop anthem of 1998--"Primavera"--opens the album, mixing samples spoken in Italian with an invigorating house tune. "Mysterious Times" blends the vocals of Tina Cousins (who has since gone on to become a solo artist) with an enigmatic instrumental backing track.
