Ramon Ayala loyalists and longtime norteño purveyors, Intocable burst on the scene in the early '90s with a vibrant sound that knocked out many pale imitators. Lead singer-accordionist Ricky Munoz again shows off his norteño/soul/blues-drenched vocals. A few even say he sounds like a 19-year-old Ayala. The band's schtick is in full evidence: tension-filled music propelled by accordion runs, thumping bass, and light percussion. It's almost formulaic, but hey why not?
