But Here We Come is not without its musical merits. They've had some help, but that's to be expected. The lush orchestral arrangements of "Everytime" and "Walking In The Rain" are particularly useful in propping up otherwise slight melodies, whilst former D:Ream frontman Peter Cunnah lends a helping hand on three tracks, most notably that cholera-catchy hit "Be The First To Believe". Perhaps the scariest about the songs on Here We Come is how very little they differ from the sort of material previously found on Boyzone and Take That albums--scary because this lot would have been toddlers when those bands first sprang to popularity. Could A1 really be the first in a generation of musicians for whom Boyzone and Take That are a seminal influence? --Peter Paphides
