The generic, indecipherable vocals, mindnumbingly tedious riffing and songs that do next to nothing to distinguish themselves from each other result in what is probably the worst metal release I have ever laid my ears on. On the bright side, it`s only an ep so I didn`t have to endure the boredom for very long.

Description: This stuff is grim as all hell...Depressive buzzsaw guitar riffs with distorted clean riffing played underneath creates quite the atmosphere (in a bleak, hopeless kind of way, NOT in a nature-loving manner). And Atrox's vocals are outright sickly, somewhere between a cross of Dead's and Attila's on De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas - vomits, moans, and whispers that sound like they were recorded in times of pure anguish and cold deathly sickness. When certain few Black Metal vocals like these make you shiver and leave you somewhat unsettled, THAT is a sign of a truly demented, evil individual. Normally a drum machine would ruin a recording, but I feel it serves this lifeless (in a good way of course!), hopeless, and seemingly inhuman music well. This is Black Metal in its purest, most misanthropic form. Add Centuries Of Deception to the list of worthy American Black Metal bands.
