A conductor's view on contemporary music
The contemporary music network ranges from the most respected 'high art' compositions which are heard by a miniscule proportion of the population, through to 'teeny bop' pop music which pervades shops, TV and radio. There must be something in between - music which has worth and also has appeal. Enter Philip Glass. It was such a joy to record these Glass works, especially SONGS FROM LIQUID DAYS, with my wonderful choir, Crouch End Festival Chorus.
