Sigh have made a bold move musically here, and are quite a different band than they were back in 1994 when 'Scorn Defeat' started their legacy. Sigh are definitely my favourite Japanese metal band and they are also one of the most original bands I've ever heard. 'Gallows Gallery has turned out to be one of my favourite albums of 2005.
There are two major changes to Sigh's style on this album: 1) the vocals are predominantly clean like a sort of Japanese heavy/power metal style, I will say that I've never heard any vocals like them before. 2) The riffing style is faster and very melodic and the production heavier.
