Brighton's Big Beat Boutique probably wishes it wasn't called that these days. Ever since the Fatboy went supernova and the likes of Terrovision muscled in on the act, big beat's once underground kudos has been about as fashionable as clackers and not half as much fun. Still, the basic concept of playing "large" records in knock-'em-out fashion can still make a beered-up crowd howl with joy. Midfield General knows this to be true, and, although not one for creating seamless segues, does a pretty good job of serving up the fat ones.
