Characterised by snarling and menacing brass alongside heavenly romantic strings, his style has been pleasingly identifiable among so many Hollywood clones. On a sci-fi fantasy like this, the style constantly intrigues the ear by forming complex rhythms and instrumental collisions to suggest alien landscapes, such as in "The Phantom Plains".
