Da Crime Family is Louisiana-based rap group TRU's fourth album and second album as a trio. TRU still consists of Master P and his two younger brothers C-Murder and Silkk the Shocker. Although the liner notes advertised an upcoming TRU album, Da Miller Boyz, Da Crime Family would ultimately end up being the group's final release. Like 1997's Tru 2 da Game, it is also a double disc album. Da Crime Family is notable for being one of in-house production team Beats by the Pound's last produced records for the label before leaving in late 1999.
